Course Update at Burnt Store Marina Country Club

Exciting improvements are underway at Burnt Store Marina Country Club as the club continues its commitment to enhancing playing conditions across its beautiful 27-hole executive course. Recent agronomy efforts have focused on the Osprey course, where Greens #1 and #6 have been successfully sprigged as part of an ongoing turf improvement program.

Sprigging is an important step in establishing stronger, healthier, putting surfaces. Members and guests may notice temporary surface variations as the new turf matures and fills in, while the greens continue their grow-in process.

The Osprey course has long been known for its scenic layout, strategic water features, and enjoyable yet challenging play. Hole #1, a demanding par 4 opening hole, and hole #6, another well-known test on the Osprey side, are receiving special attention to ensure they remain among the premier greens on the property. These improvements reflect the club’s continued investment in course quality and long-term playability.

Golf operations and grounds crews appreciate the patience and support of members during the recovery period. Favorable weather conditions, and careful maintenance practices are expected to help the new turf establish quickly over the coming weeks.

Designed by renowned golf architects Ron Garl and Mark McCumber, Burnt Store Marina Country Club continues to build on its reputation as one of Southwest Florida’s most enjoyable executive golf facilities.

With the work being done this summer to get the course back in shape, a couple of things that you can do to help maintain improved conditions are: repair ball marks, rake bunkers, fill your divots with sand and keep carts out of restricted areas.

Congratulations to the following player for his Hole-in-One!
