While both acts are longtime friends and highly respected in the ukulele and acoustic music worlds, this marks the first time Them Uke Boys and Uke 66 are teaming up and touring together. Together, they promise an Irish set unrivaled in Southwest Florida.

Straight out of Omaha, Nebraska, Them Uke Boys are redefining what a ukulele band can be. Winners of the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Award for Outstanding Cover Band, this fearless quartet reimagines the world’s biggest songs on some of the world’s smallest instruments.
Their genre-spanning setlist jumps from Queen to ELO, from Jimmy Eat World to Pink Floyd—delivered with infectious energy, tight harmonies, and playful humor. With extensive touring experience from Los Angeles to Memphis, the band has built a national following and will appear at the Sarasota, Naples, and Clearwater festivals this March 2026.

Uke 66 – Award-Winning Ukulele Excellence
Uke 66, an international award-winning ukulele duo based in Springfield, Missouri, was formed in 2014 by husband-and-wife team Rick and Karen Maxson. Named in homage to Route 66, the duo blends jazz, swing, Hawaiian melodies, original compositions, and cross-genre covers into a polished and engaging performance style.
Rick Maxson won the open division of the International Ukulele Contest in Honolulu in 2019, where his original song “Hedgehog Café” also earned Best Original Composition. In 2020, the duo captured the contest’s group division title.
As touring performers for the Missouri Arts Council and certified educators, Rick and Karen are known for lively, professionally delivered performances grounded in strong musicianship and pedagogy. They have entertained audiences across the Midwest, East and West Coasts, Hawaii, Mexico, and Japan.
Joining Uke 66 for this special Irish celebration is multi-instrumentalist Jesse Owsley—known as “Uncle” Jesse—whose four-decade career spans Celtic rock, jazz, big band, and musical theater. A founding member of the Irish rock band The Killdares, Owsley is regarded as one of the nation’s top Celtic string artists and brings extraordinary depth and authenticity to the evening’s Irish repertoire.
